
Afrobics is a mixture of simple African movements to modern African music. Like Aerobics it combines rhythmic exercise and dance figures with all-round strenght training. It improves physical flexibility and develops cardio-vascular fitness. Norma teaches simple African movements to a wide range of modern African music from Mali, Guinea and other African countries.

Each lesson lasts for about half an hour. The music starts slow, to learn and get used to the movements, and will then gradually get faster. The exercises will combine head, arm and leg movements.
Afrobics is also an excellent way to use as an introduction to this different kind of dancing before attending an African Dance class. You will be introduced to new dance moves and rhythms, but it also prepares your body for the more challenging way to move in the West African Dance classes.
